Countdown 'Til Daddy Comes Home is Kristin Ayyar's first book. What began as rituals her family used to stay connected and make the countdown fly by while her husband flew around the world or was deployed turned into a children's book that helps all types of families cope with the separations that are part of everyday life.

Kristin Ayyar is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the mother of three wonderful children, an avid volunteer in her community, and was an Air Force spouse for 27 years.
